What in heaven's name do we have here? An original drawing by George Price just offered last month on eBay raises a lot of questions. A man entertaining in his living room opens up a window and lets in a slew of heavenly bodies. He appears to be saying something, but there is no caption, only a rectangular glue stain. The gag seems likely to have been published, but there is no indication where or when. Or in what dimension.
Note: Did the eBay bidders know more about this drawing—its caption and publication history, perhaps—or did they just like its sci-fi ambience? Perhaps it appears in one of Mr. Price's collections but I don't find it in My Dear 500 Friends (1963) or in The World of George Price (1988). I'd love to learn everything about it. Launch an email this way if you recognize the art.
