A work of original
New Yorker cartoon art by
Ed Arno was sold in July on eBay without the benefit of a caption. The seller writes, "This still has a cover over it from the New Yorker. I assume it had a caption on the finished product." That's a pretty good assumption. The seller may not have known the caption but the buyer, who placed a total of four unanswered bids to make sure he got it, presumably did. Now you can know it too:

eBay Bid History
A lone bidder placed four bids, three of them insurance against a possible competing bid. The final bid is placed aggressively in the last five seconds, but it isn't needed. |
